Six Bridges Regatta on the Arkansas River August 30, 2014 Brand New Event! The 6 Bridges Regatta will be held on the Arkansas River on Saturday, 30 August. The boats will be rowed between the Big Rock Quarry area and the Boat House just downstream from the I-30 bridge. We will put some ham radio operators at a couple of spots along the course and several areas near the launch/finish area and social gather spots. The Coast Guard Auxiliary will have several folks on the water, too. The day will be divided into 2 shifts -- the race will break for a lunch hour: 0830 - 1130 and 1230 - 1500. I have about 5 locations to cover - and we can split the time for each for the two shifts or you could work both shifts. ** Several folks told me at the meeting that they could/wanted to work the regatta.
