The June 1, 2024 CARTI’s Tour de Rock is one of Arkansas’ largest cycling events and is considered the fastest Century Ride in the South. Riders choose from one of four pancake-flat routes (25, 50, 62, and 100 miles) that wind and weave through North Little Rock and the fields/towns out to England, AR and back. This is a fund-raiser event to fight cancer and to honor the ones who’ve fought the battle with cancer.
All routes begin and end at the entrance to Riverfront Park at Riverfront Drive and Brother Paul Drive in North Little Rock (the Start/Finish line is on the River Trail between the Junction and I-30 bridges). As ham operators we have fixed stations at rest stops, mobile units following riders, and net controllers at Start/Finish. The races start at 6:30am and we are done around 4:00pm. Many radio operators are done earlier as rest stops shut down and shorter races finish.
We have plenty of room for operators, so please contact me and state your preference for fixed or mobile operations, the schedule you need, and the kind of radio equipment you have. Thanks for your participation!
